At around 7:45 p.m. on May 2, residents heard several loud explosions coming from the second floor of the house at 68/12 TL19, Quarter 3, Thanh Loc Ward, District 12 (HCMC).
When they arrived to check, people discovered the second floor of the house was on fire with loud explosions continuously occurring.

At this time, hearing the family members shouting, many people rushed to put out the fire. Mr. Huynh Cong An (32 years old, living in District 12) discovered that Ms. NTNL (63 years old) was trapped in the house while putting out the fire, so he tried to get her out.
Upon receiving information from the people, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of District 12 Police mobilized many specialized vehicles and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire.

Some residents living here said that the cause of the fire could be an electrical short circuit. By 8:00 p.m., the fire was basically under control.
The cause of the incident and the amount of damage are being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
