The tournament attracted more than 320 male and female athletes from 30 cycling clubs from provinces and cities across the country. The athletes competed in 4 age groups, including: Group I from 16 - 39 years old, competing in a distance of 36km; Group II from 40 - 54 years old, competing in a distance of 32km; Group III from 55 years old and above competing in a distance of 20km and Group IV for women from 16 years old and above, competing in a distance of 20km.

The tournament is organized to create a useful playground for athletes and people who love cycling to meet, exchange and compete; strengthen the solidarity and mutual support between cycling clubs for mutual development; promote the movement of training and competing in cycling in Dong Ha City; and at the same time promote the image of the land and people of Dong Ha City to domestic and foreign friends.
After 5 successful seasons, the Dong Ha City Open Cycling Race has become a highlight in the local sports movement.
From its modest initial scale, the tournament has now truly become a prestigious sports brand, a familiar and emotional "meeting place" for amateur racers from all over the country.

At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded 4 First prizes to athletes: Vo Thai Vu (Dong Ha City Sports Cycling Club Team 2) in the category for men aged 55 and over; Ton Hoang Khanh Lan (Dong Ha City Sports Cycling Club) in the category for women; Le Van Dong (Van Phong Khanh Hoa Sports Cycling Club Team 1) in the category for men aged 40-54; Tran Dinh Duy (DTR IRC Sports Cycling Club Team 1) in the category for men aged 16-39; awarded 2nd to 10th prizes to athletes in 4 competition categories.
In the team event, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize for the male team from 55 years old and above to T2 Cycling Open Team 1; the first prize for the female team to Dong Ha City Cycling Club; the first prize for the male team from 40 - 54 years old to Van Phong Khanh Hoa Cycling Club Team 1; the first prize for the male team from 16 - 39 years old to AyunPa - Gia Lai Cycling Club; and the second and third prizes for the team to the Cycling Clubs in the four male and female team events.
