According to Mr. Hien, after the merger, Lam Dong province needs to build a high-tech agricultural zone in the Central Highlands - South Central Coast.
The province needs to promote the strengths of each locality. Specifically, Lam Dong currently has high-quality vegetables, flowers, strawberries, tea, coffee and dairy cows. Dak Nong has coffee, pepper, organic rice and specialty fruits. Binh Thuan has dragon fruit, grapes, apples, asparagus and sheep and goat farming...

Regarding production, Mr. Hien emphasized that it is necessary to apply advanced technologies from the breeding stage (tissue culture, genetic technology, grafting), cultivation (drip irrigation, precision agriculture, greenhouses), to pest management (PCR, information technology for disease forecasting).
Post-harvest solutions and deep processing are important links, so the province needs to build inter-provincial processing centers and apply modern preservation and processing technology to help reduce losses and increase added value.

Lam Dong needs to promote the building of regional agricultural product brands, strongly develop modern consumption channels through e-commerce, and controlled exports.
The province needs to train high-quality agricultural human resources and digital transformation throughout the entire production and product consumption chain.
Mr. Hien affirmed: "Developing high-tech agriculture must be a comprehensive solution from varieties, production, processing to market, connecting the strengths of each region, creating a sustainable agricultural value chain, and enhancing international competitiveness."
