Super large container ship docks at SSIT port, strengthening Vietnam - US connection

On June 15, a representative of the SP-SSA International Container Services Joint Venture Port (SSIT) said that it had successfully received the M/V CSCL ATLANTIC OCEAN, one of the world's largest container ships operated by COSCO Shipping Line.

With a length of 400m and a capacity of up to 18,982 TEU, the successful operation of this super-large ship is an important milestone, not only affirming SSIT's superior handling capacity and modern infrastructure but also a big step forward in expanding direct logistics connections between Vietnam and the United States.

This event further strengthens SSIT’s strategic role in the global maritime network. Port representatives emphasized their commitment to continuously invest in technology and improve service quality, aiming to become a key link in the international supply chain, thereby contributing to enhancing the position of Vietnam’s seaport system and promoting sustainable trade development.
