This morning, March 26, the opening ceremony of the High School Sports Tournament for the 2023-2024 school year took place at the provincial sports stadium. Attending the ceremony were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan, leaders of departments, branches and localities.
This is the largest tournament ever, with the participation of 74 delegations and 4,900 athletes. At this tournament, athletes will compete in 13 events including: football, volleyball, basketball, athletics, swimming, badminton, shuttlecock, table tennis, aerobics, tug of war, stick pushing, chess and traditional martial arts. Of which, high school athletes will compete in 9 events, and the Department of Education and Training will compete in 13 events.
High school sports tournament This is an opportunity for the whole industry to continue promoting the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", improve health, develop physical fitness in high school students, contributing to comprehensive education. At the same time, it aims to evaluate the physical education and sports activities of schools, Departments of Education and Training of localities in the province, helping the industry select athletes to compete in the 10th National Phu Dong Sports Festival, Region III in 2024, hosted by Quang Nam , scheduled to take place from May 17 to 25.
