At the Vietnam International Tourism Fair (VITM Hanoi 2025) with the theme "Vietnam tourism green transformation for sustainable development" opening on April 10, hundreds of tourism and travel businesses attended with many attractive promotional tour products, especially when the April 30 - May 1 holiday is approaching.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong, 56 years old, from Cau Giay ( Hanoi ), was there early in the morning to look up tour information, even though the fair would not open to the public until the afternoon of the same day.

With the goal of welcoming nearly 1,000 customers booking tours and expected revenue of 16.5 billion VND during the 4 days of the fair (April 10-13), Vietravel Hanoi Tourism Company is reducing tour prices by up to 35%, or saving up to 10 million VND.

The company's Deputy Director, Mr. Pham Van Bay, said that customers can easily choose to go to Sapa, Ha Giang, Moc Chau, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Quy Nhon... with discounts of up to 35%, starting from only 2.49 million VND/person for a 3-day, 2-night trip... These tours depart flexibly, convenient for tourists planning for the April 30 holiday or summer travel.

For foreign tours, Vietravel offers direct discounts of up to 10 million VND, applied to a series of hot routes.

At the fair, Flamingo Redtours Company also reduced tour prices by 40%, and reduced 10 million VND when customers registered in groups. The company also introduced hundreds of products with the lowest price starting from only 599,000 VND, the highest up to 500 million VND.

According to Mr. Nguyen Cong Hoan, General Director of Flamingo Redtours, in addition to price reduction, the new feature this year is that the company brings different and new products compared to itself to suit market trends and customer needs.

Green tour imprint

True to the theme of VITM 2025, this year, travel agencies are also introducing many green, sustainable, and environmentally friendly tours. Representatives of the agencies assessed that more and more tourists are looking to learn about and choose meaningful tours.

We also incorporate special offers on special occasions, such as group discounts, and give away reusable gifts or ‘green’ items to travelers who choose sustainable tours,” he said.

Speaking with VietNamNet reporter, Ms. Tran Thi Bao Thu, Marketing and Communications Director of Vietluxtour, said that tours integrating green tourism activities and ESG (3 factors of environment, society and corporate governance) account for more than 30% of the company's products and are on the rise.

However, according to Ms. Thu, green tourism products are still a special product line, suitable for certain customer segments, and cannot be widely deployed to all customers. However, she believes that, with the general trend, the demand for green tourism and sustainable tourism will grow, especially with corporate customers.

With this special label, Vietnamese tourism will be on par with the world . The green transformation policy needs to be implemented as quickly as possible so that Vietnamese tourism can soon have a green label, thereby proving that our service quality is on par with the world.
