Rice price today June 3: Fresh rice and exported rice fluctuate

Rice prices today, June 3, 2025, in the Mekong Delta region fluctuated. The market volume was small, domestic rice was relatively stable, fresh rice reversed and decreased slightly, while export rice fluctuated in opposite directions compared to the weekend and yesterday.

Regarding rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the price of IR 50404 rice (fresh) decreased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating at 5,300 - 5,500 VND/kg; the price of OM 5451 rice (fresh) decreased by 200 VND/kg, fluctuating at 6,000 - 6,200 VND/kg; the price of OM 380 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 5,200 - 5,400 VND/kg; the price of Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) was at 6,800 VND/kg; the price of OM 18 rice (fresh) was at 6,800 VND/kg; the price of Nang Hoa 9 rice fluctuated at 6,650 - 6,750 VND/kg.

In many localities today, dry rice transactions are slow, prices are stable; the early summer-autumn rice harvest is low, prices tend to decrease. In Kien Giang , summer-autumn rice transactions are slow, traders are slow to buy, prices fluctuate slightly.

As for by-products, the prices of by-products fluctuate from 7,400 - 10,000 VND/kg. Currently, OM 504 broken rice fluctuates at 7,400 - 7,600 VND/kg; the price of bran fluctuates at 9,000 - 10,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Recorded in localities today, the supply of 50404 and OM 380 varieties is low, prices are falling, and warehouses are slow to buy. In An Giang, the supply is low, transactions are slow, and prices are fluctuating. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), the quantity is sporadic, and prices of all types of rice fluctuate slightly. In Sa Dec (Dong Thap), transactions are slow, and raw rice of all types fluctuates slightly.

At retail markets, rice prices of all kinds remained unchanged compared to the weekend. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates at VND14,000 - 15,000/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuates at VND16,000 - 18,000/kg; common white rice fluctuates at VND16,000/kg; Soc rice often fluctuates at VND16,000 - 17,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice fluctuates at VND20,000 - 22,000/kg; Huong Lai rice 22,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice 21,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice 20,000/kg; Soc Thai rice 20,000/kg; Japanese rice 22,000/kg.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices decreased slightly compared to the end of the week. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), currently 5% standard rice is at 396 USD/ton (down 1 USD/ton); 25% broken rice is at 366 USD/ton (down 2 USD/ton); 100% broken rice is at 323 USD/ton (down 2 USD/ton).
