Reducing commune-level administrative units, innovating to serve better

On April 18, informing the press about the arrangement and reorganization of commune-level administrative units in the province, Director of the Department of Home Affairs Le Minh Tuan said: Binh Dinh province is expected to have 58 commune-level administrative units after the arrangement, equivalent to a reduction of 62.58% of units.

Before the reorganization, Binh Dinh had 155 communes, wards and towns. Implementing the project to reorganize commune-level administrative units in the province, it is expected that there will be 58 administrative units (including 41 communes; 17 wards); reducing 97 administrative units (including 74 communes; 11 wards; 12 towns).

After the reorganization, Quy Nhon City will establish 5 wards and 1 commune. Specifically, Quy Nhon Ward (Hai Cang Ward, Thi Nai Ward, Tran Phu Ward and Dong Da Ward) will have its headquarters at the current Quy Nhon City Party Committee headquarters. Quy Nhon Nam Ward (Ngo May Ward, Nguyen Van Cu Ward, Quang Trung Ward and Ghenh Rang Ward) will have its headquarters at the current Nguyen Van Cu Ward. Quy Nhon Bac Ward (Tran Quang Dieu Ward and Nhon Phu Ward) will have its headquarters at the current Nhon Phu Ward. Quy Nhon Tay Ward (Bui Thi Xuan Ward and Phuoc My Commune) will have its headquarters at the current Bui Thi Xuan Ward. Quy Nhon Dong Ward (Nhon Hoi Commune, Nhon Ly Commune, Nhon Hai Commune and Nhon Binh Ward) will have its headquarters at the current Nhon Hoi Commune. Nhon Chau Commune will retain its entire natural area and population size.

After the reorganization, An Nhon Town will establish 5 wards and 1 commune. Binh Dinh Ward (Binh Dinh Ward, Nhon Khanh Commune and Nhon Phuc Commune) is headquartered in the current Binh Dinh Ward. An Nhon Ward (Dap Da Ward, Nhon Hau Commune and Nhon My Commune) is headquartered in the current Dap Da Ward. An Nhon Dong Ward (Nhon Hung Ward and Nhon An Commune) is headquartered in the current Nhon Hung Ward. An Nhon Tay Commune (Nhon Loc Commune and Nhon Tan Commune) is headquartered in the current Nhon Loc Commune. An Nhon Nam Ward (Nhon Hoa Ward and Nhon Tho Commune) is headquartered in Nhon Hoa Ward. An Nhon Bac Ward (Nhon Phong, Nhon Hanh Commune and Nhon Thanh Ward) is headquartered in Nhon Phong Commune.

After the reorganization, Hoai Nhon Town will establish 7 wards. Hoai Nhon 1 Ward (Bong Son Ward and Hoai Duc Ward) is headquartered in Bong Son Ward. Hoai Nhon 2 Ward (Hoai Tan and Hoai Xuan Wards) is headquartered in Hoai Tan Ward. Hoai Nhon Ward (Hoai Huong Ward, Hoai Hai Commune and Hoai My Commune) is headquartered in Hoai Huong Ward. Phu Cat 2 commune (Cat Nhon commune and Cat Tuong commune) is headquartered in Cat Tuong commune. Phu Cat 3 commune (Cat Hung, Cat Thang and Cat Chanh communes) is headquartered in Cat Hung commune. Phu Cat 4 commune (Cat Tien town, Cat Thanh commune and Cat Hai commune) is headquartered in Cat Tien town. Phu Cat 5 commune (Cat Khanh town, Cat Minh commune and Cat Tai commune) is headquartered in Cat Khanh town. Phu My 2 commune (My Trinh commune and My Hoa commune) is located in My Trinh commune. Phu My 3 commune (My Tai commune and My Chanh Tay commune) is located in My Chanh Tay commune. Phu My 4 commune (My Chanh commune, My Thanh commune and My Cat commune) is located in My Chanh commune. Phu My 5 commune (My An, My Tho and My Thang communes) is located in My An commune. Phu My 6 commune ( Binh Duong town, My Loi commune and My Phong commune) is located in Binh Duong town. Phu My 7 commune (My Duc commune, My Chau commune and My Loc commune) is located in My Chau commune.

After the reorganization, Quy Nhon City will establish 5 wards and 1 commune.

Van Canh 1 commune (Van Canh town, Canh Thuan commune, Canh Hoa commune and Canh Giao village (Canh Hiep commune)) is headquartered in Van Canh town. Van Canh 2 commune (Canh Vinh commune, Canh Hien commune, Canh Hiep commune and Canh Tien village (Canh Lien commune)) is headquartered in Canh Vinh commune. Canh Lien commune (adjusting part of Canh Lien commune) is headquartered in Canh Lien commune.

After the reorganization, Vinh Thanh district will establish 4 communes. Vinh Thanh 1 commune (Vinh Thanh town and Vinh Hao commune) is headquartered in Vinh Thanh town. Vinh Thanh 2 commune (Vinh Hiep commune and Vinh Thinh commune) is headquartered in Vinh Hiep commune. Vinh Thanh 3 commune (Vinh Thuan commune, Vinh Hoa commune and Vinh Quang commune) is headquartered in Vinh Quang commune. Vinh Thanh 4 commune (Vinh Kim commune and Vinh Son commune) is headquartered in Vinh Son commune.

After the reorganization, An Lao district will establish 4 communes. An Hoa commune (An Hoa commune, An Quang commune and part of An Nghia commune) will be headquartered in An Hoa commune. An Lao commune (An Lao town, An Tan commune and An Hung commune) will be headquartered in An Lao town. An Vinh commune (An Trung commune, An Dung commune and An Vinh commune) will be headquartered in An Dung commune. An Toan commune (An Toan commune and adjustment of An Nghia commune) will be headquartered in An Toan commune.
