On August 20, the People's Committee of Lang Biang Ward - Da Lat, Lam Dong Province said that it had put up ropes and warning signs around the pine hill area near Highway DT.721 that is at risk of landslides so that people can proactively take precautions during the peak of the storm.
In addition, some other areas at risk of landslides in the ward have also been posted with warning signs for people to be aware and take precautions.
Previously, Lam Dong Electronic Newspaper reported that in recent days, many people in Pang Tieng village, Langbiang ward - Da Lat have been living in fear as the slope of the pine hill on Provincial Road DT. 721 continues to slightly erode.
The location of the pine hill is on provincial road DT.721 connecting Lang Biang ward - Da Lat (old Lac Duong district) with Dinh Van commune (old Lam Ha district) with a large traffic volume. The residential area is also about 100m from the landslide site.
In the 2024 rainy season, landslides appeared on the pine hill. In the 2025 rainy season, some small landslides appeared from the top of the hill down.

According to Mr. Bui The, Chairman of Langbiang Ward People's Committee - Da Lat, the taluy area in the pine hill in Pang Tieng village mentioned above has shown signs of landslides since 2024 and the authorities have conducted a survey and assessment of the current situation.
At that time, the People's Committee of the old Lac Duong district proposed using the flood and storm prevention budget to build a slope at the foot of the hill. However, due to the long slope and the high construction cost, the above solution was considered suboptimal.
Currently, the ward's professional departments are continuing to survey to propose a solution or propose to the provincial departments and branches if it exceeds their authority.
