Creative intersection connecting historical heritage works of the Capital

The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued a plan to organize activities for Hanoi to participate in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in 2024 - 2025. In particular, the Hanoi Creative Design Festival 2024 will take place from November 9 - 17, 2024 with the theme "Creative Crossroads".

This is the first time that the Capital's "Creative Crossroads" will be piloted along 7 typical historical heritage works of Hanoi with hundreds of vibrant creative activities in the fields of architecture, design, fine arts, performance, cinema, advertising...

The main area where the Hanoi Creative Design Festival 2024 will take place is August Revolution Square, connecting the North-South axis (Ly Thai To - Le Thanh Tong street) and the East-West axis (Bac Co slope - Trang Tien street).

In this area, there are outstanding architectural works such as Hanoi Children's Palace, Government Guest House (Bac Bo Palace), Hanoi Opera House, National History Museum... and Ly Thai To flower garden, Co Tan, Dien Hong flower garden...

The festival’s experience route will be an opportunity to bring prominent architectural works associated with Hanoi’s history closer to people’s lives. Some of the works will open to visitors for the first time, such as the Government Guest House, and some tours will be activated, such as visiting the Opera House, the University, etc.

“Creative Crossroads” is not only a pilot route for a creative economic experience for the city in the future, but more than that, it is also a place to demonstrate the creative potential of the city, contributing to the resonance, connection and attraction of creative resources; awakening the creative spirit of generations of Hanoians.

The creative activities organized will be a dialogue between existing works, linking community memories with new creative ideas to emphasize the role of young people in continuing and promoting national values in developing the creative industry, promoting the development of the Capital, worthy of being the creative center of the country.

Held on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the capital, the activities of the Creative Design Festival 2024 bear the imprint of Hanoi's memories, awakening and recalling historical memories and the creative power of generations of the capital's people.

The festival includes nearly 100 creative activities, with highlights being iconic works, creative space model installations, exhibitions - displays of performing arts, experiences, international and domestic seminars and conferences in the creative field...

At the same time, the spirit of creativity is also spread throughout cultural heritage spaces, creativity, and traditional craft villages on the streets, districts, towns, and cities of the Capital.
