Artists call for support for people in Central Vietnam

In the music night Chan Tinh that just took place at Khong Ten tea room (HCMC), singers Quang Dung and Thanh Thao contributed 40 million VND to help people affected by floods in the Central region (each singer contributed 20 million VND).

Singers Quang Dung and Thanh Thao also called on the audience to attend the concert at the tea room to show their support to the people of Central Vietnam. The total amount of money collected after the concert was 69.4 million VND and 100 USD.

Singer Thanh Thao thanked the audience for sharing with fellow countrymen during the flood, contributing to warming the hearts of the beloved people of Central Vietnam.

According to information from Khong Ten tea room, on December 5, singer Manh Quynh will organize a mini show Warm arms to support the people of Central Vietnam affected by floods. The guests in this music night are singers Quynh Trang and Jack Long.

Actress Hien Mai regularly updates information about flood situations and contact points needing support on her personal page.

She wrote: “The Central region is facing a natural disaster! The floods have caused great losses. They need our help - the children living far away and friends of the Central region. Any support, no matter how small or large, is a priceless source of encouragement.”

Hien Mai contributed 5 million VND to the working group of Khanh Hoa - Saigon Business Club that is going to the Central region to support people.

Singer To My also spread the spirit of “helping each other”, donating 150 million VND to buy necessities to send to people affected by floods in Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai and Dak Lak . She shared: “I feel so sorry for the Central region these days… I pray that people will soon overcome the natural disaster and be safe in body and mind.”

On their personal pages, director Ly Hai and producer Minh Ha said they received messages from many people who wanted to send gifts to the Central region but did not have vehicles to transport them.

Therefore, he and his wife coordinated with the People's Police Academy ( Hanoi ), the People's Police University (Ho Chi Minh City), and the Dak Lak Provincial Police Youth Union to support a free bus to transport gifts from people in the South to the Central region for relief.

Ly Hai and Minh Ha support free bus trips to send gifts from November 22 to 25.

MC Quynh Hoa - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Cultural House, Captain of the Ho Chi Minh City Artist Volunteer Team - said that the team members are supporting the reception of donations of necessities, blankets, and clothes to help people in the Central region.

However, with a large workload, she called for more volunteers to help arrange and transport the gifts to the vehicles so that they could reach the people in the flooded areas in time. Accordingly, the activity took place from 8am to 8pm every day, from November 22 to 24.
