Introducing circular and closed agricultural production models

La Gi Town Farmers' Association has just coordinated with the Provincial Farmers' Association and the Center for Information and Application of Science and Technology Advances of Binh Thuan Province to organize a training course on "Introducing circular and closed agricultural production models" for over 50 members, union members and farmers in the town.

At the training session, members and farmers were informed about the concept of circular economy ; information about new scientific and technical activities, introduction of effective production models, especially models of production linkage associated with preservation, processing and consumption of agricultural products according to the value chain, bringing high economic efficiency. In particular, one of the products that has been researched and successfully applied is the circular agricultural production model that reuses raw materials to create a chain of products such as: Model of "growing grass - raising cows - raising earthworms - raising chickens", model of "growing lingzhi mushrooms, straw mushrooms and producing organic fertilizer from mushroom growing substrate", model of "growing bamboo shoots combined with raising bamboo rats, hybrid wild boars" ... In addition, members were also informed about safe livestock farming techniques, combining waste treatment and organic fertilizer production.

Through the training session, farmers had the opportunity to exchange and share practical experiences from the results achieved and difficulties of the introduced models. In addition, farmers had the opportunity to learn more good models and new ways of doing things from production practices. From there, farmers can apply, contributing to increasing income, moving towards clean, safe agriculture, organic livestock, environmentally friendly and ensuring community health.
