The next generation Bixby voice assistant on Samsung TVs now offers a more natural and personalized experience than ever. With the improved Bixby, users can easily activate it with their voice or press the microphone button to start a conversation – no commands, no menus, no typing.

The new Bixby understands context and follow-up questions, allowing for interactions that are as fluid as a real conversation. Powered by generative AI, Bixby can answer any question you have, from general information like “How high is Mount Everest?” to personalized suggestions like “Let’s suggest some relaxing playlists for a rainy day.” Just ask the question, and Bixby can provide information related to what’s playing and display details directly on the screen. It’s a smarter, faster way to get the most out of your TV experience without interruption.

With this update, Bixby is now integrated into Click to Search, making it easier than ever to discover and find entertainment whether you’re watching live TV, cable, or Samsung TV Plus. You can ask about an actor, a show, or a broader topic – and get an instant answer, directly on your TV.

Bixby even extends Click to Search beyond what’s currently on the screen. For everyday questions like “Tell me how to cook pasta” or “What are some good movies about chefs?”, Bixby will provide contextual answers based on external sources. It’s a simpler, more efficient way to search.

With Bixby smarter, Samsung TVs can detect, connect and control Samsung SmartThings-compatible home appliances. Users can simply speak directly to the screen to take advantage of the SmartThings ecosystem and execute voice commands such as “Turn off the oven now” or “Set the air conditioner to 25 degrees”, turning the smart TV into a control center for home appliances.

The new generation Bixby will be equipped on Samsung TV lines in 2025, including Neo QLED, OLED, The Frame and QLED, starting with Korea and expanding to global markets in stages.
