Previously, on the afternoon of November 15, people discovered many large cracks, subsidence, and serious fractures on the hill.
Immediately afterwards, people quickly reported to local authorities and functional forces.
Through initial inspection, the crack is about 150m long, 30-60cm wide, has subsided about 80cm to more than 1m, creating a large ditch and is continuing to spread, and can collapse at any time.
The area where the fault occurred is a hill about 40-50m high, located next to the commune road. This is the forest land of the people. Near the foot of the hill, there are 2 households living.
Realizing the high risk of dangerous landslides, in the afternoon and evening of November 15, the Party Committee and authorities of Son Kim 2 commune quickly mobilized the police force, the Civil Defense Committee, the commune's mass organizations, and the Quyet Thang village executive committee to set up barriers, warnings, and prohibiting the road section through the collapsed hill.
At the same time, mobilize 2 households with many people living at the foot of the hill to evacuate to safety.
Local authorities and functional forces are continuing to monitor the situation in the area to promptly have response plans.
