On the flooded ground that had just receded, Mrs. Vu Thi Hoan was still working hard among the pile of fallen grapefruits, cutting each fruit to collect the seeds to sell - a way to preserve the year's hard work. "Now I just hope the tree will revive, and bear fruit next year to make up for it," she said, her eyes looking far away at the bare grapefruit garden.

Mr. Hua Minh Luan, Head of Minh Than village, said: “Kha Linh grapefruit tree is the pride and soul of this land. Every year, natural disasters come, but people still stick around to preserve the brand of grapefruit for the king.”
Immediately after the flood, the agricultural extension force went to each garden to guide the digging of drainage ditches, lime application, and root stimulation for the plants to recover. New shoots are gradually emerging on the once-flooded ground.

Today, the Kha Linh grapefruit area still bears the scars of the great flood, but in the eyes of the farmers, we see a glimpse of green hope - the color of vitality, of enduring faith in the hundred-year-old grapefruit land.
