According to Nguyen Thi Tao, Chairwoman of the Kien Hung Ward Trade Union, the ward's trade union was established on September 8, 2025, and currently has 39 grassroots trade unions with 1,865 members. Generally, the workforce in the enterprises consists of young workers who can quickly adapt to modern science and technology, possess strong political convictions, and have the educational and professional skills to meet job requirements and adapt to the market economy and international integration.

The Congress identified three breakthroughs: Strengthening dialogue and collective bargaining, focusing on employment, wages, and occupational safety and health; intensifying efforts to mobilize workers to join the Trade Union; building a strong Kien Hung Ward Trade Union that serves as a reliable support for workers; and innovating the content and methods of propaganda to raise political and legal awareness among union members and workers.
Speaking at the Congress, Vice President of the Hanoi City Federation of Labor Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy suggested that, immediately after the Congress, the ward's Trade Union should promptly implement an action program to carry out the resolution in conjunction with the resolutions of the Ward Party Congress and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress. Along with that, it should promote the application of information technology and digital transformation in management and operation, connecting grassroots trade unions and union members.
Continue to innovate the content and methods of operation to suit the new organizational model, build a strong and comprehensive trade union organization, and promote its role as a reliable representative of union members and workers. All activities must be strongly oriented towards the grassroots, with union members and workers at the center, and thoroughly overcome the bureaucratization in trade union activities...
In his directive speech, Nguyen Tien Quyet, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Kien Hung Ward, requested that the Ward's Trade Union prioritize the interests of its members and workers, taking the lead in dialogue and negotiation.
“This is one of the three core breakthroughs of the ward's Trade Union in the next term. Therefore, we must strengthen dialogue and collective bargaining, focusing on employment, wages, the quality of meals during shifts, and improving working conditions. The Trade Union must be an organization of workers, by workers, and for workers,” Comrade Nguyen Tien Quyet emphasized.
Regarding the immediate tasks of the ward, the Ward Party Committee Secretary requested that the Ward Trade Union closely coordinate with the Fatherland Front and other political and social organizations in the ward to proactively participate in the local political tasks, especially the work of disseminating information and mobilizing workers and employees to actively participate in the election of National Assembly and People's Council representatives at all levels for the 2026-2031 term...
At the Congress, the Ward Trade Union announced the Decision appointing the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Inspection Committee, and other positions of Ward Trade Union officials. Ms. Nguyen Thi Tao was appointed as the Chairperson of the Ward Trade Union for the term 2025-2030.
