The tournament was jointly organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Vovinam Viet Vo Dao Federation, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, and the Nestlé MILO brand, taking place from March 18 to 21, with the participation of nearly 2,000 athletes from 23 districts, Thu Duc City, and the Sports Talent School under the Education sector.

The tournament had the participation of nearly 2,000 athletes.
Vovinam requires the practitioner to be flexible, agile and persistent, not afraid of “hard training”, so it is chosen by many parents, who want their children to study it to practice dynamism and perseverance. This interest and love makes the Vovinam practice movement throughout the country grow stronger, contributing to the development of this martial art with strong national character.
Through the Vovinam Viet Vo Dao Tournament for students in Ho Chi Minh City in the 2022-2023 school year, we will contribute to spreading the love of sports and national pride to students when participating in practicing the traditional martial art of the nation, at the same time inspiring and helping them practice their perseverance as well as bringing natural energy to help them grow taller and reach further.

Mr. Nguyen Binh Dinh, Vice President and General Secretary of the Vovinam Viet Vo Dao Federation of Ho Chi Minh City shared: “Thanks to the interest and response from parents, this traditional martial art is attracting more and more children to practice and compete. In addition to health benefits, Vovinam also helps children have a positive spirit and enthusiasm in studying and physical training. We appreciate the support of sponsors in school sports movements in general and Vovinam over the years. All of these efforts are aimed at nurturing the patriotism of young people through the practice of traditional Vietnamese martial arts.”

The tournament also contributes to spreading the love of sports and national pride to students.
The tournament also aims to encourage the spirit of physical training, arouse patriotism, and Vietnamese national pride in high school students when participating in training and competing in Vovinam "Learning Vietnamese Martial Arts - Loving Vietnam" to serve the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. At the same time, the tournament is an opportunity for Ho Chi Minh City to select the best student athletes to prepare the force to compete to achieve many high achievements and defend the First Place title of the entire delegation at the 2023 National Vovinam Student Championship in May.
