Summer is a time for rest for students and teachers at all levels of education in general, and preschool education in particular. However, to meet the needs of parents sending their children to preschool, the Department of Education and Training has directed the district education departments to guide preschools in organizing activities to care for, nurture, and educate children during the summer. This has created consensus and a positive effect in society.

Relieve your worries.
Every summer, while children eagerly enjoy playing and exploring , parents face the worry of finding childcare due to their busy work schedules. Finding a safe and reputable childcare facility becomes a pressing need for many families. Understanding this need, in recent years, many kindergartens in the province have been organizing summer classes to alleviate parents' concerns about finding childcare.
Viet Tri City is the political , economic, cultural, and social center of the province. There is a high demand for childcare during the summer months from parents, primarily civil servants, employees in agencies and units, business owners, and workers in enterprises and production facilities, who often lack relatives to look after their children. To meet this demand, in the summer of 2024, Viet Tri City had 45 kindergartens and 27 independent kindergarten classes providing childcare for over 4,800 children, including over 3,900 children in kindergartens and 950 children in independent kindergarten classes.

Accordingly, the school divides each class into 20 to 30 children, ensuring there are 2 teachers per class, with the service running from June 3rd to August 31st.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Tam, Deputy Principal of Hoa Phong Kindergarten, said, "Summer childcare activities are carried out according to the principle: Parents of students attending the school who wish to send their children to daycare during the summer must submit an application. Based on this, the school arranges the number of classes and teachers appropriately; implements appropriate benefits for teachers working during the summer break. At the same time, the school agrees with parents on the collection of fees for childcare activities; develops a plan for caring for, nurturing, and educating children; strictly implements the children's daily routines; adheres to school safety regulations; strengthens environmental hygiene and disease prevention during the summer; and focuses on ensuring food safety... Educational activities mainly help children review knowledge and practice necessary skills; ensuring sufficient supplies, toys, and learning materials..."
In addition to organizing childcare during the summer, Anh Duong Kindergarten in Tan Dan Ward, Viet Tri City, ensures all aspects are maintained as in the school year, focusing primarily on nurturing and developing skills through experiential activities such as: learning English, picking vegetables, selling goods, and cooking meals to donate to underprivileged child patients receiving treatment at the Provincial General Hospital...

Children are taught to sing, dance, recite poetry, and play games... Along with the curriculum, the school also focuses on caring for children, such as monitoring their health and paying attention to their nutrition..."
Strengthen management and ensure quality.
In fact, in recent years, kindergartens and preschools have done a good job of childcare during the summer, helping parents feel secure while working, and ensuring children receive care that is beneficial to their intellectual and physical development... meeting the growing needs of society.
To ensure childcare during the summer, the Department of Education and Training has issued a document guiding and directing the district education departments to instruct preschools. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, stated: After the school year ends, depending on the school's conditions and the needs of parents, preschools can organize childcare and supervision during the summer with teachers volunteering to work.
Parents wishing to enroll their children in summer care must submit an application and register with the school. Preschools develop summer activity plans and report them to the Department of Education and Training for management and guidance. The timing of summer childcare activities is determined by agreement between the preschool and the parents.
Preschools that organize childcare activities during the summer must ensure the physical and mental safety of children; strictly control the receiving and returning of children; ensure the number of children per class as prescribed, have sufficient supplies, toys and equipment to support the organization of activities for caring for, nurturing and educating children; implement regulations on building safe schools and preventing accidents and injuries in preschools...

Sao Mai Kindergarten in Viet Tri City has all the necessary conditions to provide childcare services during the summer.
Summer income and expenditure are agreed upon with parents based on the actual implementation of activities; ensuring the principles of public and transparent finance and with the approval and guidance of management levels as prescribed. The head of each preschool is responsible for all activities related to childcare during the summer and ensuring the safety of the children...
In addition to strictly adhering to the above regulations, preschools have also seriously implemented the children's daily routines; organized educational activities suitable for children of each age group; and absolutely refrained from teaching the curriculum ahead of schedule for any age group in any form whatsoever.
In the care and nurturing of children, preschools strictly adhere to regulations, focusing on food safety, balanced meals, and implementing measures to prevent and control summer illnesses.
In addition, preschools organizing summer activities assign management staff to be on duty and handle tasks; ensure sufficient teachers/children; and strictly implement the arrangement and payment of staff allowances.
The provision of summer childcare by preschools has brought joy and peace of mind to many parents. This is seen as a practical solution to help parents balance work and family life. With the efforts of preschools and the close cooperation of parents, it is hoped that children will have a fun, enriching, and safe summer.
