Ha Giang completes upgrading and renovating key roads to western districts

Construction started in April 2022 and the route was completed after 3 years of construction, ensuring quality and progress. The completion of the project contributes to completing the traffic infrastructure connecting the western districts of Ha Giang province and the northwestern provinces such as Lao Cai and Lai Chau.

When put into use, the route will be a driving force for the development of remote and extremely disadvantaged communes in Hoang Su Phi and Xin Man districts. In particular, it will effectively exploit the strengths of tourism as well as typical agricultural products, of which the main one is Shan Tuyet tea.

The Bac Quang-Xin Man road renovation and upgrade project (phase 1) has a total length of more than 41km with a total investment of 1,496 billion VND. The starting point of the route is at the intersection with National Highway 2, Tan Quang commune, Bac Quang district; the end point is at Nam Dich commune, Hoang Su Phi district.

Many people of Hoang Su Phi district attended the technical opening ceremony of Bac Quang-Xin Man road (phase 1).

The road is designed according to the standards of a grade 4 mountainous road with a roadbed width of 7.5m; road surface width of 5.5m; construction of 17 bridges; asphalt concrete road surface; complete construction of longitudinal and transverse drainage systems.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Hau A Lenh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee acknowledged and commended the efforts of the investor, localities, and contractors who closely coordinated in the project implementation process; households agreed and created favorable conditions for compensation and site clearance to implement the construction of the project to ensure the set progress.

Request the Ha Giang Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board and contractors to inspect, review, and organize the completion of the remaining work, ensuring technical and aesthetic standards. At the same time, organize the acceptance and handover of the project according to regulations.

Local authorities and people along the route focus on effectively exploiting this route to serve trade, travel and exchange of goods; beautify the landscape on both sides of the road, contributing to tourism development.

The technical opening of this key route is meaningful to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification. Ha Giang is determined to fulfill the targets and tasks of the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress and prepare conditions to successfully organize the Provincial Party Congress for the 2026-2030 term.
