This is a noble award from the Party and the State, recognizing the school's outstanding achievements in foreign language education and diplomacy , contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of Vietnam in the era of international integration.

Over the past 70 years, the University of Foreign Languages has continuously contributed to the development and integration, construction and protection of the country through training high-quality human resources, scientific research, innovation, knowledge transfer, providing products and services to meet social needs according to international standards in the fields of foreign language education, linguistics, international studies and a number of related social sciences and humanities.

Over the past seven decades, the school has trained tens of thousands of students for society. The school currently teaches many majors in languages, pedagogy (English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, Russian, German, Arabic, Vietnamese, etc.), communications, economics at the university level and has a training system from junior high school to graduate school.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice President of Hanoi National University Dao Thanh Truong suggested that the school needs to strongly innovate educational methods towards developing self-study capacity, independent and creative thinking; closely linked with practical research and applying objective and honest assessment forms. Promote the integration of advanced technology, digital capacity and artificial intelligence in teaching and experiential activities, helping learners to soon form technological thinking, creativity and adaptability.

At the same time, the school needs to focus on building a modern, internationalized learning environment, making English the second language, and expanding to regional languages to enhance international exchange; developing a team of highly qualified and competent lecturers, teachers, and managers, applying technology and mastering global educational trends.
