Hanoi will support textbooks for students in difficult circumstances.

Pursuant to Resolution No. 32/NQ-CP dated March 20, 2024 of the Government on promulgating the plan to implement Resolution No. 686/NQ-UBTVQH15 dated September 18, 2023 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on thematic supervision of the implementation of Resolution No. 88/2014/QH13 and Resolution No. 51/2017/QH14 of the National Assembly on innovation of generaleducation programs and textbooks.

The Hanoi People's Committee issued a plan to implement Resolution No. 32/NQ-CP of the Government as follows: Every year, educational institutions and education and training departments review and report the number of students in difficult circumstances, students from poor and near-poor households; students from remote areas, ethnic minorities; students who are policy beneficiaries in the city to award textbooks and support scholarships.

The Department of Education and Training continues to coordinate with publishers and mass organizations to organize programs to donate textbooks and scholarships to support students in difficult circumstances.

The City People's Committee requested schools to supplement textbooks for school libraries, organize students to borrow textbooks for study; mobilize students to donate and support old textbooks to the library so that students in later grades and students in difficult circumstances can borrow and use textbooks effectively.

The Department of Education and Training coordinates with relevant departments and branches to propagate and disseminate policies and innovate programs and textbooks, focusing on a number of key contents, subjects and areas to create social consensus and stronger determination among the entire team of teachers and education managers.

Based on the plan of the City People's Committee, the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities develop and issue a unified implementation plan in the area; coordinate with the Department of Education and Training and functional departments of the city to direct the implementation of the tasks stated in the plan in the area. In particular, focusing on arranging schools, management staff, teachers and employees; performing well the state management of education according to decentralization; mobilizing investment resources for facilities and teaching equipment to meet the requirements of implementing the 2018 general education program.
