Women of Division 5 - Confident and responsible, contributing to building a strong unit

In her white blouse, professional military Major Nguyen Thi Ha Ban - Medical Officer of Company 24, President of the Women's Union of Regiment 5 is always mentioned by her comrades with respect and love. Although she simultaneously undertakes two tasks: taking care of soldiers' health and organizing Union movements, she is always dedicated, thoughtful, and thoroughly follows the motto "A good doctor is like a mother" in every job.

At the unit, she and the medical team regularly conduct periodic health checks for soldiers; provide guidance on barracks hygiene, disease prevention; ensure hygienic meals and appropriate nutrition. Regardless of day or night, whenever a soldier is sick, Ms. Ban is always there promptly, caring for him as if he were a family member. Thanks to that, the Regiment maintains a healthy soldier rate of over 99%, ready to complete all assigned tasks well.

Not only is she good at her profession, she is also an active learner, working with her teammates to improve her professional skills; at the same time, she coordinates with the Division Medical Department to organize medical examinations, health consultations and provide free medicine to people in border communes during mass mobilization activities.

“Working as a doctor in the military environment is a huge responsibility. Taking care of soldiers’ health is not only a professional duty, but also an emotional and sharing duty. I always try my best to make sure each soldier can train and work with peace of mind,” Ms. Ban said.

Major Nguyen Thu Ngoc Ha - a staff member of the Political Department Library, President of the Women's Union of the agencies and units under Division 5 is considered by her teammates as a "three-in-one woman". Not only is she an active and dedicated President of the Women's Union, Ms. Ha also works concurrently at the library and takes on the role of a radio announcer and editor for the unit. Despite the large workload and responsibilities, she always maintains a calm demeanor, a high sense of responsibility and creativity in each task.

At the Division library, Ms. Ha actively arranges, manages, and updates books, newspapers, and documents for officers and soldiers to study and research, while also building a friendly reading space, contributing to spreading the reading culture throughout the unit. With her warm, emotional voice, the news she is in charge of broadcasting every morning has become a familiar sound, adding spirit and motivation for officers and soldiers to enter a new training day.

“Every task, no matter how big or small, once assigned, must be completed with all enthusiasm and responsibility. I always believe that even the quiet daily tasks can contribute to creating a beautiful image of military women,” Ms. Ha shared.

Professional military major Phan Thi Kim Oanh participates in the "Supporting training season" activity on the training ground.

As the President of the Women's Union of Regiment 4, Major Phan Thi Kim Oanh is always considered the leader in the movements and activities of the Union. With a sense of responsibility and dedication to work, she has proactively advised, proposed and implemented many new models and creative ways of doing things, bringing practical results to the unit.

Ms. Oanh proactively worked with the Executive Committee of the Women's Union of the Regiment to coordinate with the local sister units to organize many meaningful activities such as: "Supporting the training season", "Bottle fair, leaf market - protecting the green environment", "Spring for soldiers", "Green Sunday", cultural and artistic exchanges, flower arrangement and culinary competitions on the occasion of holidays, New Year, and political events during the year.

Not only creative in organizing movement activities, Ms. Oanh is also a pioneer in effectively implementing major campaigns such as: "Women help each other develop family economy ", "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean; 5 yes, 3 clean", "Women in the Army accompany women in the border areas" for the period 2021-2025.

“As a main unit with enough troops, high training intensity, many intertwined and overlapping tasks, the working conditions are quite difficult. If we want the Association to always be strong, attract and gather a large number of female members, first of all, we ourselves must be truly exemplary, setting an example in both words and actions” - Major Phan Thi Kim Oanh said.

It can be said that every female officer and member in Division 5, regardless of their position, is making constant efforts to affirm the mettle, intelligence, responsibility and kind heart of women in the Vietnam People's Army. They are beautiful flowers in the training ground, contributing to preserving and promoting the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the hearts of the people, together building the Fatherland's border stronger and stronger./.
