On February 15, the Hanoi People's Committee worked with the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports and related units to find solutions to effectively exploit the F1 racing track (near My Dinh Stadium).
In 2021, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports was assigned by the Hanoi People's Committee to receive, manage and use facilities serving the Formula 1 (F1) car racing tournament from Vietnam Grand Prix Company Limited.
Specifically, the 3 land lots handed over by Vietnam Grand Prix Company Limited to the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports have a total land area of nearly 300,000 m2, including land and assets on the land.

Previously, the My Dinh National Sports Complex had requested the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to request Hanoi City to return the entire land area, which was requisitioned to build the F1 racetrack (Photo: TL).
After being temporarily handed over, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports has successfully organized many sports and cultural events such as: VPBanks Marathon right before the 31st SEA Games; Vietnam Matorkhana Championship 2021; Vietnam Go Kart Championship 2022; Organizing the Hanoi Agricultural Production and Craft Village Festival. This is also a regular training place for sports such as: cycling, athletics, indoor sports...
However, during the handover process, there were still some difficulties and problems related to the sovereignty of each plot of land, making it difficult to come up with effective exploitation plans. Therefore, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports proposed to be officially assigned the management and exploitation of this land. From there, the Department will develop a project to use it for cultural, sports and tourism activities more effectively.
At the meeting, Mr. Le Hong Son - Permanent Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee acknowledged and accepted the opinions and suggestions. He assessed that in recent times, Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports has done a good job of preserving the assets handed over and used, organizing a number of crowded cultural and sports activities to create a good effect.
