Hanoi: Organize 121 film screenings to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2

Revolutionary cinema works such as “August Stars”, “Hanoi Winter of 1946”, “Hanoi 12 Days and Nights”, “Dong Loc Junction”, “Peach, Pho and Piano”, “Wild Fields”… will be shown to audiences in Hanoi in August and September.

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection, the Hanoi Cultural Center and Library coordinated with units to organize a propaganda film and art performance in August and September 2025.

The event is an opportunity for the public of the capital to enjoy documentary films, feature films, and animations rich in historical and artistic values, opening a journey back to the past, recreating the heroic spirit of the historic autumn days and brilliant milestones in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

This is also an opportunity for every citizen of the capital to be more proud of the national tradition, foster love for the homeland, the will to be self-reliant, spread the message of gratitude to previous generations, continue the aspiration to contribute, and bring the country to new heights.

The film series includes 80 mobile screenings to serve people in wards and communes; workers in industrial parks and export processing zones; students of universities, colleges, high schools, vocational schools; and prisoners in reform and re-education camps in Hanoi.

Along with that, there are 40 screenings at Kim Dong Cinema (19 Hang Bai, Cua Nam) and 2-9 Cinema (9 Le Lai, Son Tay) on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights from August 1 to September 15.

In addition, the Hanoi Cultural Center and Library also organized a film screening combined with an art performance on the evening of August 22, at the outdoor stage of the Phu Dien Ward Cultural - Information and Sports Center (6 Vo Quy Huan, Phu Dien, Hanoi).

The audience in the capital will enjoy many revolutionary cinema works with artistic and meaningful values ​​such as: "August Star", "Hanoi Winter 1946", "Hanoi 12 Days and Nights", "Dong Loc Junction", "Peach, Pho and Piano", "Wild Fields"...
