The Hanoi Department of Construction has just announced a pilot plan to adjust traffic organization on Kim Ma Street, Kim Ma - Van Bao intersection and neighboring areas in Ba Dinh District.
The pilot implementation period starts from March 29 to August 29, 2025.
Specifically, on Kim Ma Street, traffic authorities prohibit cars from making U-turns during rush hour from 6am to 9am in the morning and from 4pm to 7:30pm in the afternoon (at the Kim Ma intersection - Unicef gate) in the direction of the city center.
Vehicles needing to turn back to the UNICEF building and Vincom Metropolit during rush hour should go through the intersection and turn back at the existing median strip opening on Kim Ma Street (about 200m from the Kim Ma - Van Bao intersection).
The Department of Construction assigned the Traffic Infrastructure Maintenance Board to implement the adjustment of the sign system, supplement the traffic safety system, install additional guidance signs, paint lines, etc. according to the pilot plan for traffic organization adjustment; In addition, monitor and evaluate the traffic situation on the route and area to promptly detect inadequacies and propose appropriate adjustments to the traffic organization adjustment plan.
The Department also requested the People's Committee of Ba Dinh District to direct functional forces and local authorities to arrange forces to coordinate with the Inspectorate of the Department of Construction, Hanoi Traffic Police and related units to regulate and guide traffic flow, avoid traffic congestion; at the same time, organize inspections and handle violations of traffic safety and order, encroachment on sidewalks and roads for business purposes, illegal parking causing traffic insecurity, traffic congestion on roads and intersections in neighboring areas...
