Couple swept away by sea water and died at Cua Lo beach

At around 6am on May 20, a couple went swimming at Cua Lo beach, Vinh city ( Nghe An ), while swimming in a whirlpool, both were unfortunately swept away.

The incident was discovered by local residents, and rescue forces then organized a search. More than 10 minutes later, a victim was found. Authorities used a dragnet to search for the second victim. At around 8:30 a.m. the same day, the body of the second victim was found.

Currently, the identities of the two victims are being verified by authorities and their families are being contacted to coordinate funeral arrangements.

Previously, at around 2:00 p.m. on May 19, a tragic drowning incident also occurred at Don Hung Dam, Hau Thanh Commune (Yen Thanh District, Nghe An). The victim was a 7th grade student at a local secondary school.
