Develop population communication materials for political training classes at all levels

(PLVN) - In order to promote communication and mobilization to strengthen the leadership and direction of Party committees and authorities at all levels, mobilize the active participation of departments, branches, organizations and mobilize people of all walks of life to implement the requirements, tasks and goals of population work in the new situation, on May 19, 2025, the Ministry of Health issued Plan No. 655/KH-BYT Population Communication 2025.

Accordingly, promote communication activities such as: communication of population policy (disseminating and thoroughly grasping Conclusion No. 149-KL/TW dated April 10, 2025 of the Politburo on promoting the implementation of Resolution 21-NQ/TW of the 6th Conference of the 12th Party Central Committee on population work in the new situation; communication on the development of the Population Law, documents on population work in 2030);

Media propaganda on population events in 2025 ( World Thalassemia Day (May 8) "Join hands to prevent thalassemia for public health and the future of the country"; World Population Day (July 11); World Contraception Day (September 26) "No teenage pregnancy for your future and happiness"; International Day of Older Persons (October 1) "For a healthy community, join hands to take care of the health of the elderly"; International Day of the Girl Child (October 11) "Invest in girls for family happiness, for the future of the country"; Vietnam Population Day (December 26) and National Action Month on Population (December) "Investing in population work is investing in sustainable development").

According to the Plan, the Ministry of Health will coordinate with the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics to develop population communication materials for political training courses at all levels in accordance with the requirements of population work in the new situation; organize population communication and education activities for the Provincial Federation of Labor Working Committee and industrial park workers; continue to coordinate with agencies of the Ministry, central sectors, unions, central and local press agencies to improve the effectiveness of inter-sectoral coordination, mobilize the participation of associations and unions at all levels in population communication work in accordance with the characteristics and actual situation of each sector, field and each locality...

In the community, directly communicate to couples of childbearing age, pregnant women, men, adolescents/youths, and the elderly in the areas about pre-marital health consultation and examination; screening, diagnosis, and early treatment of prenatal and neonatal diseases; reducing gender imbalance at birth; early marriage and consanguineous marriage; health care for the elderly in the community; reducing adolescent and youth abortions and other important population issues...
