More than 2,100 secondary school students in Ho Chi Minh City receive career counseling for the future.

The program is organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, the Ho Chi Minh City Young Pioneers Council, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Employment Service Center and the Hoc Mon District Youth Union. According to the Organizing Committee, career orientation for students is an important activity. Through the program, students will know how to choose the right career to pursue, avoiding choosing the wrong career, wasting time and effort.

With the theme “Choosing a career for the future with you”, on May 20, at To Ky Secondary School (Hoc Mon District, Ho Chi Minh City), a career orientation program for students in 2025 took place with the participation of more than 500 students. This is the opening program of a series of 7 career orientation sessions for more than 2,100 students in grades 8 and 9 in many districts in Ho Chi Minh City.

The program took place in an exciting atmosphere. Here, children learned about career groups through fun and exciting games: Choosing the right career; Guessing the career by looking at gestures; Listing the work of each career.

The games create a fun atmosphere to help children initially approach and learn about job names according to the current Vietnamese job list.

The highlight of the program is career goal orientation. Students are guided by experts on shaping their future careers, nurturing and pursuing their favorite careers in the future. Identify and build short-term and long-term goals, knowledge and skills needed to pursue and develop the best career.

Not only do students learn about career information, they also have their questions answered about choosing a career. They can discuss, ask questions, listen to experts share and have their questions answered about issues related to choosing a career that suits them.

Students are advised on suitable majors.

In addition, students can also take a test to choose a suitable major on an online platform with 3 contents: Discovering your personality; understanding personal interests and career passion; self-assessing your abilities. After completing the test, students will have an overview and analysis of their aptitude, personality and career interests to research and learn more about suitable careers.
