The City People's Committee has just planned to honor typical "Cultural Families" on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of Vietnamese Family Day (June 28, 2001 - June 28, 2025).
Accordingly, this year's conference with the theme "Happy Family, Prosperous Nation" is scheduled to take place on June 26 at the Hanoi Museum (Nam Tu Liem District).
The conference aims to create a positive change in the awareness of Party committees, authorities, organizations, families and the whole community about the importance of family work. At the same time, it creates a forum for exchange, learning and sharing experiences between cultural families to preserve and promote the good traditional cultural values of Vietnamese families.
Attending the conference, in addition to central and city leaders, there were also 80 families recognized as exemplary "Cultural Families". These families all met the following criteria: Family members are exemplary in implementing the Party's guidelines and policies and laws of the State; actively participate in emulation movements in labor, production, study, and protection of security, order, and social safety in the locality; the family is prosperous, progressive, happy, and civilized; regularly united, united, and supportive in the community; and has been recognized as a "Cultural Family" for 3 consecutive years (2022, 2023, 2024).
The Organizing Committee also prioritizes selecting families with outstanding characteristics, such as: Traditional families with many generations living together in harmony and happiness; families that encourage learning and talent; families that preserve and promote cultural values and traditional craft villages; families that actively participate in sports , culture and arts activities; ethnic minority families that have made many contributions to local development; families that are good at production and business; families that actively participate in social, charitable and humanitarian activities...
Within the framework of the conference, there will be a photo exhibition of typical “Cultural Families” and an exhibition of books and documents about families with the aim of honoring the profound humanistic values of families, inheriting the fine traditions of Vietnamese families; at the same time, propagating andeducating the community on preventing and combating domestic violence, gender equality and protecting family health; introducing traditional cultural values and cultural families, elegant and civilized lifestyles of Hanoians.
The City People's Committee assigned the Department of Culture and Sports as the standing agency, presiding over and coordinating with relevant units to synthesize and advise on the preparation for the conference. At the same time, direct the city's press and media agencies to strengthen propaganda before, during and after the conference; promote information and propaganda work in response to the 24th anniversary of Vietnamese Family Day, educate on ethics and lifestyle in the family; prevent and combat domestic violence...
