Hanoi: The rate of non-public hospitals implementing electronic medical records is still low.

In Hanoi, the rate of completion of electronic medical records implementation in non-public hospitals is still low (18%) and is at risk of not meeting the Government's directive to complete before September 30, 2025.

According to information from the Hanoi Department of Health , up to now, 25/42 (59.52%) public hospitals under the Hanoi Department of Health have completed the implementation of electronic medical records to serve medical examination and treatment.

Public hospitals include: Xanh Pon, Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, Hanoi Oncology Hospital, Dong Anh, Van Dinh, Hoe Nhai, Soc Son, Ba Vi, Quoc Oai, My Duc, Hanoi Children's Hospital, Ha Dong, Vietnam-Cuba Hospital, Nam Thang Long Hospital, Phu Xuyen Hospital, Hoai Duc Hospital, Me Linh Hospital, Son Tay Hospital, Dong Da Hospital, Chuong My Hospital, Thuong Tin Hospital, Phuc Tho Hospital, Thach That Hospital, Hanoi Heart Hospital, Hanoi Kidney Hospital.

Currently, only 9/48 (18.75%) non-public hospitals have deployed electronic medical records, including: Tam Anh General Hospital, Vinmec Times City International General Hospital, Bac Ha International General Hospital, Thien An Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, Thu Cuc International General Hospital and Thu Cuc General Clinics, Thien An Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, Hong Ngoc-Phuc Truong Minh General Hospital, Hong Ngoc General Hospital, Saigon Hanoi Eye Hospital, Saigon Hanoi Eye Hospital I.

However, the rate of completion of electronic medical records implementation in non-public hospitals is still low (18.75%) and is at risk of not completing on schedule according to the Government 's direction, to be completed before September 30, 2025.

The Hanoi Department of Health requested the Ministry of Health to direct non-public hospitals and units to resolutely deal with slow-progressing tasks and to remove difficulties and obstacles.

In addition, the Hanoi Department of Health also requested units to prioritize and focus on investing in facilities, information technology equipment, focusing on human resources and resources to urgently deploy electronic medical records (EMR) to be completed before September 30, 2025 according to the direction of the Government and the Ministry of Health and carry out digital transformation of all medical examination and treatment work at the unit, and must commit to implementing it in accordance with the directed roadmap./.
