Hanoi ranked 96th in the top 100 best cities in the world in 2024, behind other Asian cities such as Tokyo, Seoul, Bangkok, and Beijing.

The World's Best Cities ranking announced the 100 best cities in the world in 2024 in the early fourth quarter of this year. The capital Hanoi ranked 96th, the only representative in Vietnam mentioned.
Experts say Hanoi is not as large or bustling as Ho Chi Minh City, but it has many attractions, vibrant markets for shopping, and a vibrant nightlife. Vietnam is highly rated in the "Livability" category (61st) as well as the economy has proven its resilience in the face of global economic challenges. Vietnam's economic growth is expected to reach 4.7% in the second half of the year. Hanoi's hotel market is expected to boom with 60 new projects with more than 11,000 rooms. Of these, more than 60% are 5-star hotels, making the city a place ready to welcome the world.
