According to V-Green statistics, Vietnam currently has about 23,000 electric vehicles in circulation, but there are only 5,000 charging stations with a total of 55,000 charging guns - equivalent to 3% of the number of charging guns needed to meet the operating needs of gasoline vehicles.
Mr. Nguyen Phi Long, Director of Fast+ Charging Station Joint Stock Company, emphasized that charging stations are a strategic link in the green transportation ecosystem. Fast+ alone has deployed 2,473 charging stations nationwide, accounting for more than 60% of the franchised stations, including both home charging stations and fast charging stations.

The trend of switching from gasoline vehicles to electric vehicles in Vietnam is increasing rapidly thanks to policy incentives, low operating costs and environmental protection awareness.
However, the biggest obstacle is still the infrastructure that has not kept up, from location, power grid capacity to unsynchronized legal procedures.
To solve this problem, businesses have proposed a sidewalk charging station model, cooperating with public agencies to take advantage of land outside of business hours and deploying a charging station system combined with solar power to optimize supply and reduce pressure on the grid.
