Detailed construction progress

T1 Road

The main construction part has been completed. Currently, the units are focusing on: - Installing electric poles and trees on both sides of the road - Planting grass in the middle of the route to create a green space - Reinforcing the negative slope at the overpass area at the intersection - Regularly checking to ensure that the trees grow evenly and beautifully when the airport is put into operation

The T1 interchange with Highway 51 has been completed. However, the Provincial Road 25C project is still under construction to connect with Highway 51 on both sides.

T2 Road and Complex Interchange

The T2 route has completed the installation of lighting system and guardrails on both sides. The bridge connecting T2 to the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway has been completed with the installation of electric poles, just waiting for the road to be painted.

T2 intersection connecting Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway is basically completed and is considered the most complicated intersection of the project.

The most complicated intersection of the entire project is located at the intersection of T2 Road with Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, below is Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway. Many bridge items connecting Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway are still being accelerated to meet the technical traffic opening schedule.

Infrastructure connectivity and significance

When completed, the two routes T1 and T2 will form a synchronous connection network: - West : From the airport to National Highway 51 and Provincial Road 25C - East : From the airport to Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway - Longitudinal axis : Connecting with Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway

At a working session with General Secretary To Lam on November 13, Mr. Vu The Phiet, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACV, said that Long Thanh airport is oriented to become the most modern, smart and green airport in Vietnam, meeting international 5-star standards.

Impact on Long Thanh airport project

Long Thanh Airport is a key national infrastructure project with: - Design capacity: 100 million passengers and 5 million tons of cargo per year - Phase 1: Operating 25 million passengers - Total project investment capital: Nearly 336,630 billion VND (16 billion USD) - Expected to welcome technical flights: December 19 - Officially put into operation: 2026

Completing T1 and T2 roads on schedule is a prerequisite for the airport to be able to conduct trial operations and ensure convenient traffic connections right from the beginning.
