Hai Duong rewards 151 outstanding groups and individuals in English Self-Study Month

The English Self-Study Month in Hai Duong province, taking place from April 11 to May 8, 2025, marked the beginning of a new journey, where learning is no longer limited by time, space or subject, but becomes a habit, need and living culture of every person in Hai Duong province.

Delegates and students from schools attended the Closing Ceremony of English Self-Study Month.

The number of students from 313 junior high and high schools in the province who registered to participate in the English Self-Study Month in the whole province was 98,795 (reaching 47.6% of the total number of students). Of which, there were 68,130 junior high school students; 26,436 high school students). The number of teachers who registered to participate in the Self-Study Month in the province was 2,049.

The results achieved in the “Self-study English Month” are not only reflected in the number of completed self-study exercises, but also in the clear progress in forming the habit of self-study, self-research and practice of students. Students have been more proactive in seeking and discovering knowledge, promoting creativity and applying knowledge to real life.

However, besides the positive results, the English Self-Study Month also revealed some limitations. Some students still lack motivation in self-study, especially in organizing their study time reasonably and effectively.

Self-study time coincides with semester exams and holidays, so learning results are not high. Therefore, raising awareness and self-study habits still need to be promoted in the coming time.

The month of self-studying English has ended, but the spirit of self-study has not stopped. The entireeducation sector of Hai Duong will continue to join hands so that the campaign "Summer of self-studying English" is not just a slogan, but a concrete action, verified, evaluated and spread.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded 8 groups and 143 individuals with outstanding achievements in the "Self-study English Month"; Five-Star E-Learning Joint Stock Company and VTV Vietnamese Heart Fund awarded 120 scholarships to Hai Duong students, each worth 2.4 million VND (1 6-month English course of FSEL).
