Accordingly, the police have prosecuted and detained Pham Duc Hai (aka "Hai Idol", born in 1996, residing in Gia Loc district, Hai Duong) and another defendant for the crime of "Disturbing public order" as prescribed in Clause 2, Article 318 of the Penal Code.
The remaining two defendants were prosecuted for the crime of "Disturbing public order" under Clause 1, Article 318 of the Penal Code.
Previously, as Lao Dong reported, at around 2:00 p.m. on April 21, on the North-South axis road, in Toan Thang commune, Gia Loc district, Hai Duong province, a wedding procession without license plates stopped and parked on the road to film and take wedding photos, causing traffic disorder and causing a stir in public opinion.
According to the police, in the above case, all 4 subjects prosecuted were involved to varying degrees in the act of using cars to park in the middle of the road.
This is a very bitter ending in which "Hai Idol" and related subjects must take responsibility for their arrogant behavior, disregard for the law, and causing outrage in public opinion.
And this is also a big lesson, not only for "Hai Idol" and related subjects but also for many people.
Because in reality, it is not rare for individuals to disregard the law in using and driving vehicles without license plates, stopping and parking in defiance of regulations, endangering road users, following the "our road" style like "Hai Idol".
Another issue worth discussing in this case is the word “Idol” - the idol that many people call themselves on social networks.
In fact, Pham Duc Hai calls himself an “Idol” when he became somewhat famous on social networks thanks to owning a famous fashion shop located in Kenh Trieu village, Thong Kenh commune, Gia Loc district, Hai Duong province.
Along with that is a social media account with hundreds of thousands of followers, millions of likes and regularly appearing on livestreams and YouTube videos attracting a large number of viewers.
However, instead of setting a good example for others, especially young people who follow him on social networks, this "Idol" is a dirty example when it comes to disregarding the law.
It is worth mentioning that self-proclaimed "idols" with dirty images like Pham Duc Hai have also appeared a lot recently in the South and the North.
The most recent is "Quan Idol", also self-proclaimed in Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri, who shows off his wealth all year round with many luxury cars and beautiful license plates...
This idol was recently "unmasked" by authorities when he was arrested, prosecuted, and indicted on many charges, including drug trafficking.
Everyone has the right to self-proclaimed themselves as an Idol of someone or a group of people on social networks to satisfy personal emotions. This is not prohibited by law.
But Idol - any idol, no matter how big the idol is, is not allowed to stand above the law. And self-proclaimed idols like “Hai Idol”, “Quan Idol”… need to be “unmasked” by the law and severely punished to set an example!
