Vinanutrifood brings AI, blockchain into Vietnamese agricultural value chain

DNVN - Nearly 500 billion VND was poured by Vinanutrifood into the high-tech agricultural factory project in Gia Lai, applying artificial intelligence and blockchain to make the entire process transparent, elevating the brand of Vietnamese agricultural products in the international market.

On August 19, Vinanutrifood Joint Stock Company, in coordination with Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee and related units, will start construction of Vinanutrifood Binh Dinh Factory in Village 2, Tay Son Commune.

This is a large-scale agricultural processing project in the Central Highlands, connecting the raw material area of more than 2,500 hectares and synchronously applying leading modern technologies. The factory has an area of 10 hectares, the total investment capital of phase 1 is nearly 500 billion VND, the design capacity reaches thousands to tens of thousands of tons of each type of agricultural and forestry product/year.

The highlight of the project is the application of artificial intelligence (AI) to manage the entire production chain: from monitoring raw material areas via satellite, monitoring the cultivation, harvesting, transportation process to processing in the factory.

At the same time, blockchain is integrated for real-time traceability, ensuring that all product information from the field, care process to the finished product, is transparent with just one QR code scan.

In addition to AI and blockchain, the project also applies enzyme and microbiological technology to optimize production; nano-dissolution, freeze-drying to preserve nutritional value; supercritical CO₂ extraction and production of vegan cosmetics from agricultural products, expanding the portfolio of value-added products.

“We do not only sell agricultural products, but also sell peace of mind. Technology will help customers, partners and the international market have absolute confidence in the quality, origin and process of each product,” a representative of Vinanutrifood shared before the groundbreaking ceremony.

Vinanutrifood Binh Dinh aims to become an important link in the sustainable agricultural value chain. The company commits to purchasing products for 2,000 - 3,000 households at prices higher than the market, stable in the long term; supporting seeds, transferring farming techniques that meet USDA Organic (USA) and Organic EU (Europe) standards.

Each household’s income can reach 200-300 million VND/crop, while the factory creates jobs for 400-500 local workers with a salary of 6-20 million VND/month. Not only stopping at production, Vinanutrifood also develops experiential activities - community education, spreading the message of circular economy and environmental protection.

According to experts, in the context of the EU, US, and Japan tightening import standards, transparent and high-tech production models will help Vietnamese products increase their competitive advantage. At the same time, cooperation with Chinese enterprises opens up opportunities to access the world's largest consumer market - where demand for safe, organic food is increasing rapidly.

If operated as planned, the factory will not only contribute to reducing the pressure on fresh agricultural product consumption but also elevate the brand of Vietnamese agricultural products on the world map, realizing the goal of sustainable agricultural development, converging technology, market and human factors.

Started many big projects

The People's Committee of Gia Lai province has just issued a plan to organize groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies for works and projects to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

Accordingly, on August 19, in addition to the groundbreaking ceremony of the concentrated agricultural and forestry production and processing area project of Vinanutrifood Binh Dinh Joint Stock Company, there was also the groundbreaking ceremony of Phu My Industrial Park - phase 1, with a scale of more than 436 hectares, total investment capital of over 4,569 billion VND; the groundbreaking ceremony of the investment project to build runway No. 2 and synchronous works at the Phu Cat Airport with a total investment of 3,246 billion VND.

At the same time, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee also inaugurated two traffic projects, including: The project to build the southern bypass of Phu Phong with a total investment of more than 791 billion VND and the project of the connecting road from the western road of the province (DT.638) to the coastal road (DT.639) in Phu My with a total investment of more than 818 billion VND.
