On the afternoon of October 17, VietNamNet's source confirmed that the two victims were NHD and PTT (13 years old), 8th grade students at a middle school in Lac Thuy district.

"Around 1-3am today, two students jumped off a bridge into the Boi River. This afternoon, through the search and rescue process, authorities found the bodies of the two victims and handed them over to their families for funeral arrangements," the source said.

According to initial information, the authorities are investigating and clarifying the cause of the incident. At the same time, a suicide note believed to have been left by the victim has appeared.

"The police are examining the letter to come to a conclusion, but through comparing the handwriting and writing style, it can be initially determined that it is highly likely that the letter was left by the victim," the source said.

After the above incident, the Department of Education and Training of Hoa Binh province directed the Department of Education and Training of Lac Thuy district to visit, encourage the family and stabilize the psychology of students in the school.
