Ha Tinh A 5-seat Ford Laser and a 12-seat Toyota Hiace, both with official license plate 38A-1169, are usually parked about 15 meters apart on Vo Liem Son Street, Ha Tinh City.

On March 29, the Traffic Police Department (Ha Tinh Provincial Police) said it was assigning professional units to verify the documents of the two cars to come up with a solution.

The 5-seat Ford Laser used to be managed by the Ha Tinh Provincial Youth Union. In 2022, the car was sold to a person residing in Ha Tinh City. Currently, the driver is in Hanoi and cannot come to work with the authorities.

A representative of Ha Tinh Provincial Youth Union said they had called the owner of the Ford Laser, who informed them that since purchasing it, he had not completed the procedures to change to a white license plate.

The Traffic Police Department leader said that two cars sharing the same license plate is against the law. Of the two cars, one must have a fake license plate, while the other car may have a license plate.

This person recommends that people who buy a car liquidated from a government agency must change the ownership within one month after signing the liquidation contract. If the vehicle still has a blue license plate, it is wrong and when an incident occurs, it will be very complicated.

Two cars with the same license plate number are often parked on Vo Liem Son Street, Nam Ha Ward, Ha Tinh City. This area is home to many government agencies such as the Department of Construction, the Farmers' Association, Ha Tinh Radio and Television Station, the Ha Tinh City Civil Judgment Enforcement Office, the Provincial Land Registration Office, etc.
