Hai Phong launches pilot "Digital Ecosystem"

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Le Tien Chau, Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee, affirmed: Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo (referred to as Resolution No. 57) clearly identifies science, technology, innovation and digital transformation as key driving forces to enhance national competitiveness and develop the economy rapidly and sustainably.

Hai Phong aims to become the leading center of industry, seaports, logistics, services,education , science-technology, and innovation in the country and the growth pole of the Northern region.

The Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee emphasized that digital transformation is not only a matter of technology but also a comprehensive revolution in thinking, organizational structure and methods of action. This will be a bridge connecting the government with the people through transparency, connectivity and an effective system.

To realize this goal, the city focuses on four pillars: Continuing to innovate thinking, promoting geographical advantages and transport infrastructure, building a civilized and modern urban area, and promoting two parallel revolutions including streamlining the apparatus and digital transformation.

Comrade Le Tien Chau suggested that the system of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in the city identify digital transformation as a key political task, promote creative propaganda, and promote the role of a bridge between the Party, the government and the people. At the same time, the city needs to rejuvenate, professionalize and digitize its staff, and organize training courses on digital thinking and skills.

One of the key tasks is to build and pilot digital ecosystem models from the city to the grassroots, taking service efficiency for people as the highest measure.

The Secretary of the City Party Committee called on all cadres, party members, businesses and people of all walks of life to continue promoting the tradition of the heroic Port City, solidarity, pioneering, creativity, determined to successfully implement Resolution No. 57, gradually realizing the aspiration to rise up in the new era.

At the conference, delegates performed the button-pressing ceremony to launch the pilot "Digital Ecosystem" of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong city, marking an important step in the digital transformation process of the city's Fatherland Front.

The digital ecosystem - a modern technology platform serving the work of the front in the digital transformation period is built with the orientation of becoming a "front data center", connecting seamlessly between front levels, between the front and state management agencies and member organizations. This is an important step to improve the efficiency of information processing, analysis, forecasting and coordination capacity, and better serve the people.

The digital ecosystem consists of 3 main sub-areas: Operational area, integrating many applications such as electronic office, official mailbox, law library, electronic information portal, cadre management database, document management system, paperless meeting documents, public services, specialized databases; virtual assistant area (application of artificial intelligence (AI) to support fast and smart operations); statistical area, visualizing data through charts to serve monitoring and evaluation work.

Users can access the system via the website or the “Hai Phong Smart” application on computers, phones and smart devices.

Hai Phong city officials have been informed and instructed on how to install, exploit and effectively use the "Digital Ecosystem" application.

The officers of the Fatherland Front at all levels of Hai Phong city have been disseminated and instructed to install, exploit and effectively use the "Digital Ecosystem" application of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city and the application "Hai Phong Digital Citizen" (Smart Hai Phong).

At the same time, the conference also spent time promoting awareness of cyber security and providing guidance on preventing and combating high-tech crimes, an important content in building a safe and healthy digital environment, serving the sustainable development of Hai Phong city.
