Hai Phong builds a socialist model associated with socialist people in the new period

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission attended and directed the workshop.

Speaking at the workshop, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia highly appreciated the coordination between the Hai Phong City Party Committee and the Communist Magazine in researching, developing the project and organizing the workshop, acknowledging the dedicated and responsible opinions of experts, scientists and managers who contributed to the completion of the project.

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia suggested a number of issues for Hai Phong to continue to study thoroughly and deeply in both theory and practice; and to open political activities towards the 14th National Party Congress.

At the local level, Hai Phong must correctly, fully, deeply and comprehensively identify the typical values ​​associated with the history of the land, culture, people, potentials, advantages, etc. as a scientific basis for determining directions, proposing appropriate tasks and solutions, and maximizing effective and feasible models for the development and construction of socialism in the new era - the era of strength, civilization and prosperity.

Regarding the proposal of a set of 14 criteria on socialism and socialist people in Hai Phong, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia commented that this is a creative approach and innovative thinking, contributing to realizing the Party's guiding viewpoint on the path of national construction and development.

However, scientists, experts and managers continue to closely follow the spirit and update new content in the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress, Resolution of the 11th Central Committee, 13th tenure and resolutions and conclusions of the Politburo, Secretariat and direction of General Secretary To Lam.

These are very new contents, especially the contents mentioned in the four resolutions in the "strategic quartet" that need to be studied in depth.

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia suggested that Hai Phong continue to promote the spirit of dynamism, creativity, daring to think, daring to do, pioneering in building socialism associated with socialist people. From there, continue to contribute to the whole country to clarify and elevate the theory of socialism and the path to socialism.

In his opening speech at the workshop, comrade Hoang Trung Dung, member of the Party Central Committee and Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Magazine, asked delegates to focus on clarifying the content of the criteria for building socialism and socialist people at the local level, thereby summarizing and evaluating the replication of the model nationwide; giving comments on the Project on Building Socialism Associated with Socialist People in Hai Phong City for the period 2025-2030 and the following years; offering suggestions on policies set forth by the Central Committee and internal guidelines and policies to build Hai Phong to meet the requirements and tasks in the new era.

More than 50 papers and opinions submitted and presented at the workshop focused on explaining a number of theoretical issues of Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh's thought on socialism and socialist people; the theoretical development of the Party and the theoretical awareness of the Hai Phong City Party Committee on socialism associated with building socialist people; determining the content and criteria for building socialism associated with socialist people in Hai Phong City over nearly 40 years of renovation and in the new context.

Concluding the workshop, comrade Le Tien Chau said that the Hai Phong City Party Committee and Communist Magazine will direct the collection of opinions from leaders, experts, and scientists to continue perfecting the project.

On that basis, create a foundation for Hai Phong city to successfully deploy the construction of a socialist model associated with socialist people, from which to evaluate, summarize, draw experiences, and replicate throughout the country.
