On April 28, within the framework of the official visit to Vietnam of Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru and his wife Ishiba Yoshiko, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's wife, Ms. Le Thi Bich Tran, had a meeting and together with his wife Ishiba Yoshiko visited the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Dong Mo, Son Tay (Hanoi).
Representatives of 16 Vietnamese ethnic groups living in the Village welcomed the two Ladies with the sound of gongs and traditional dances welcoming the visitors.
After receiving the fresh bouquets of flowers, the two ladies held hands and walked into the reception room to listen to a general introduction about the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism.
Mrs. Le Thi Bich Tran and Mrs. Ishiba Yoshiko then took the tram together to visit the Thai Ethnic Village.
Representatives of the ethnic groups in the North welcomed the two distinguished guests to the Village, introduced the traditional stilt houses of the Thai people, the “khau cut,” the custom of “nem con” and how to make “qua con.”
The two ladies experienced making "con" under the guidance of Thai ethnic people, as well as the meaning and way of throwing the con.
Under the encouragement of their compatriots, the two ladies then experienced throwing the shuttlecock amidst cheers.

At the end of the throwing experience, Mrs. Le Thi Bich Tran and Mrs. Ishiba Yoshiko held hands with the Thai ethnic people and danced the Xoe dance around the "con tree."
Expressing the honor of welcoming the two Ladies, representatives of the Thai ethnic group respectfully presented the two distinguished guests with two Piêu scarves and con fruits with best wishes.
Leaving the Thai Ethnic Village, Mrs. Le Thi Bich Tran and Mrs. Ishiba Yoshiko went to the Xo Dang Ethnic Village.
From afar, the sound of gongs and drums rang out in welcome. The two ladies entered the village to the joyful welcome of the villagers and met the excellent artisan Y'Sinh, who crafted musical instruments from bamboo.
After hearing an introduction to the T'Rung, the two ladies enjoyed two performances using the T'Rung and K'long put, and experienced making the T'Rung, a typical instrument of the Central Highlands.
The last stop on the tour was the Cham tower complex inside the Village. After hearing about the unique architecture that represents the cultural beliefs of the Cham people in Ninh Thuan , the two ladies visited the Cham tower complex and went up to the main Ka Lan tower to offer incense.
With sincere gratitude and emotion for the warm welcome of Madam Le Thi Bich Tran and the Vietnamese people, Madam Ishiba Yoshiko expressed her hope that the relationship between Vietnam and Japan will develop more and more strongly, on the basis of cultural and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
Madam Le Thi Bich Tran thanked Madam Ishiba Yoshiko for her affection for the country and people of Vietnam, and hoped to meet again in the near future./.
