Import-export enterprises declare customs procedures at Chi Ma Customs Department

In 2025, according to the assigned budget, Chi Ma Border Gate Customs must collect 605 billion VND - this is the highest assigned target ever.

Mr. Doan Tuan Anh, Deputy Head of Chi Ma Border Gate Customs, said: To complete the task, since the beginning of the year, Chi Ma Border Gate Customs has focused on administrative reform in implementing customs procedures for import and export goods, means of transport and passengers entering and exiting through the border gate. In addition, the unit also focuses on implementing programs, plans and solutions to attract enterprises to make customs declarations through the border gate.

Specifically, from the beginning of 2025 until now, in addition to organizing 2 dialogue conferences with enterprises at the border gate, the leaders of Chi Ma Border Gate Customs have organized 2 working groups to go to a number of localities to meet and discuss with enterprises operating in import and export of goods to grasp the arising problems in the customs clearance process of enterprises to promptly support enterprises operating in import and export through the border gate.

Thanks to the effective implementation of solutions to attract enterprises to import and export goods, in just the first 3 months of 2025, there were more than 800 enterprises regularly importing and exporting goods through Chi Ma border gate, of which more than 300 enterprises importing and exporting goods with high tax rates and high turnover such as: machinery for production, textiles, soy sauce, beer, consumer goods, peeled wood, frozen fish... carrying out customs declaration procedures through the unit, an increase of 167 enterprises compared to the same period last year.

Mr. Mai Duc Trung, General Director of Chi Ma HTT General Import-Export Service Joint Stock Company, shared: As a logistics service company at Chi Ma border gate, in addition to supporting import-export services for other businesses, the company also organizes import-export of some goods. In the past time, the customs agency at the border gate has supported businesses a lot, especially, any problems arising when making declaration procedures are guided and supported by customs officers at Chi Ma border gate, so the businesses' shipments are cleared quickly.

In fact, from the beginning of 2025 until now, in order to create maximum convenience for enterprises importing and exporting goods through the border gate, the leaders of Chi Ma border gate Customs have regularly discussed and discussed with Chinese authorities at the opposite border gate, thereby not only agreeing with Chinese customs to increase the time for goods clearance by 2 hours, opening the border gate 1 hour earlier (7:00 a.m.) and closing 1 hour later (8:00 p.m.), but also agreeing on carrying out procedures on Saturdays. This helps increase the efficiency of customs clearance for enterprises through the border gate on the same day.

Along with that, recently, the leaders of Chi Ma Border Gate Customs have directed professional teams to focus on applying solutions to fully exploit revenue sources. In particular, the professional teams of Chi Ma Border Gate Customs pay special attention to classifying and applying tax rates for import and export goods; focusing on classifying and applying codes for cases of importing goods with high tax rates to avoid revenue loss;...

Mr. Nguyen Quang Bach, Head of Customs Operations Department, Customs Branch VI said: To achieve such high revenue results, in addition to the positive effects from the solutions that Chi Ma Border Gate Customs has implemented, another factor is the effect from the Provincial People's Committee and the provincial departments and branches have discussed and agreed with the Chinese government and functional forces in increasing the number of goods that can be imported and exported through this bilateral border gate pair, including 22 goods with high tax rates, contributing to increasing the revenue of the customs force here.

In the first 3 months of 2025, the total revenue of Chi Ma Border Gate Customs reached more than 37% of the assigned estimate. To complete the revenue target of reaching and exceeding 605 billion VND, in the following months, the unit will continue to improve the quality of customs procedure reform; resolutely implement support solutions and accompany import-export enterprises; resolutely deploy solutions to prevent revenue loss through import-export management; strictly control the area, proactively fight, prevent and promptly and strictly handle acts of smuggling and trade fraud through import-export activities of goods...
