In recent times, in order to both ensure the arrangement and streamlining of the organizational apparatus and ensure the completion of assigned political tasks, the Customs sector has issued a number of documents directing the rectification and strengthening of discipline and order while performing official duties and tasks.

Specifically, Directive No. 5269/CT-TCHQ dated October 30, 2024 on compliance with discipline and order while performing official duties; Official Dispatch No. 5807/TCHQ-TCCB dated November 25, 2024 on strengthening discipline and order while performing official duties.

Official Dispatch No. 112/TCHQ-TTKT dated January 8, 2025 on continuing to strengthen discipline and administrative order while performing official duties; Official Dispatch No. 953/TCHQ-TCCB dated February 26, 2025 on rectifying discipline and order in implementing the arrangement and streamlining of the organizational apparatus.

Or, Official Dispatch No. 873/CHQ-TCCB dated March 28, 2025 of the Customs Department on continuing to strengthen administrative discipline and evaluate the results of assigned work...

However, through inspection and supervision, it was found that some units and individuals still violated discipline and administrative rules; the performance of assigned tasks and work did not ensure progress and quality, did not fulfill their responsibilities, and did not comply with procedures and regulations.

On April 24, 2025, the Director of the Customs Department issued Decision No. 414/QD-CHQ on the establishment of the Customs Department's Inspection Team to inspect the compliance with discipline and order while performing official duties in order to promptly detect, rectify and handle units, cadres and civil servants who do not comply or do not comply with legal regulations, discipline, official discipline, regulations and professional procedures in the form of surprise official duty inspections.

Inspection period: From May 2025 to the end of February 2026.

To continue to promote and strengthen discipline and order while performing official duties in the entire industry, the Customs Department requires Heads of units under the Customs Department to implement a number of contents.

Firstly , strengthen the dissemination, dissemination, strict implementation and implementation of the directive documents of the Government, Ministry of Finance, and Customs Department on discipline and order while performing official duties to all leaders and civil servants in the unit.

Second , strengthen the work of inspection, supervision, and surprise public service inspection of the observance of discipline and order while performing public duties at the unit to achieve real effectiveness, enhance the responsibility of leaders and public servants, create a clear change in awareness and action; strictly handle cases where violations are detected through inspection.

Third, direct subordinate units to comply with the requirements of the Customs Department's Inspection Team according to Decision No. 414/QD-CHQ dated April 24, 2025 on surprise inspection of compliance with discipline and order while performing official duties as prescribed; coordinate and create conditions for the Customs Department's Inspection Team to perform and complete its tasks.
