Navy Region 5 and An Giang Provincial Youth Union strengthen coordination in propaganda about sea and islands

On the afternoon of December 27, in Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang Province, the An Giang Provincial Youth Union delegation led by Mr. Do Minh Sang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, paid a courtesy visit to the Naval Region 5 Command.

At the reception, Mr. Do Minh Sang highly appreciated the achievements and results of the unit's officers and soldiers in performing the task of managing and protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland. At the same time, he introduced some main features of An Giang Provincial Youth Union and the outstanding results achieved in the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement in 2024. On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the delegation of An Giang Provincial Youth Union sent best wishes to the officers and soldiers of the Naval Region 5 Command.

Colonel Hoang Quoc Hoan, Deputy Political Commissar of Naval Region 5 Command said: An Giang is a locality that does not directly border the sea, but in recent years, the Party Committee, government, and people of An Giang province in general, and An Giang Provincial Youth Union in particular, have had many meaningful and practical activities towards the homeland's sea and islands.

The Deputy Political Commissar of the Naval Region 5 Command expressed his hope that the An Giang Provincial Youth Union would continue to accompany the officers and soldiers of the unit; coordinate well in implementing propaganda work on seas and islands, and mobilize cadres and youth union members to participate in building and protecting the sovereignty of the seas and islands of the Fatherland. Thereby, contributing to raising awareness, responsibility, and arousing love for the seas and islands in each cadre and youth union member.

On the same afternoon, An Giang Provincial Youth Union and the Technical-Logistics Department, Naval Region 5 Command held a preliminary review of coordination work in 2024; exchanged experiences in Youth Union activities and proposed a number of measures to improve the quality of coordination activities in the coming time.
