Authorities have completed the search and recovered the child's body from the water.

The child's body was found about 1.5km from the scene.
The incident occurred at a river junction, where the water flow was strong, posing significant challenges to rescue efforts. However, with a strong sense of responsibility, the An Bien commune police force and the U Minh Thuong area Fire and Rescue Team were on standby, expanding the search area and dividing into multiple search directions along the two canals. This afternoon, the child's body was found in the Xeo Ro canal, approximately 1.3km from the scene, heading towards the Cai Lon River.
Currently, authorities are carrying out the necessary procedures and handing over the child's body to the family for burial according to regulations.
Earlier, on the morning of October 20th, Ms. Le Thi Kieu (26 years old, residing in Hamlet 2, An Bien Commune, An Giang Province) woke up to find her 4-month-old son missing. Ms. Kieu's family home is a stilt house built along the Xeo Ro canal, leading to suspicions that the baby may have fallen into the canal. Upon receiving the report, the An Bien Commune Police, in coordination with the U Minh Thuong Fire and Rescue Team, mobilized divers and specialized equipment to urgently carry out the search operation.
