Located about 170 km from the center of Hanoi, Binh Gia district (Lang Son province) attracts many travel enthusiasts to explore because it has many interesting tourist destinations such as Dang Mo waterfall, Tham Khuyen - Tham Hai cave, Phai Danh lake... Among them, Tham Khach cave is also a favorite destination for many tourists, choosing it as a camping place to "escape" the dust and find peace.
Tham Khach Cave (also known as Tham Khoec Cave) is about 1 km long, located inside a limestone mountain. According to local people, the cave was formerly a military structure, now abandoned.
Behind the cave is a fresh, green plain (a large area of relatively flat terrain). People often move back and forth through the cave to grow crops and raise livestock here.
On weekends, Tham Khach Cave is also a place to “change the wind” chosen by many families and young people from neighboring provinces. Coming here, many visitors expressed surprise at the beauty of the cave and the vast plain behind.
Ms. Hoang Oanh (in Hoang Mai district, Hanoi ) said that the road to Tham Khach cave is quite convenient, suitable for travel enthusiasts to experience a short schedule of 1 day 1 night or 2 days 1 night.
In the area behind the cave, there is no internet, only phone signal, so many families with small children often choose to camp here, enjoy a truly relaxing time, temporarily away from smart devices such as televisions, mobile phones, etc.
The space inside Tham Khach cave is quite cold and dark. Visitors can stop to check-in and take pictures with unique stalactites.
Ms. Oanh was particularly impressed with the scenery inside Tham Khach cave, where there are many unique stalactites and cool air, completely different from the outside. The female tourist from Hanoi commented: "This is a place worth visiting, but after leaving, we should return the space to its original state and leave nothing but footprints behind."
After exploring Tham Khach cave, visitors can set up camp, pitch tents, and spend the night in the plains behind. Because this place has not yet exploited tourism activities and services, visitors need to prepare food, drinks, and essential personal items.
The cool green space on the plain behind the cave is an ideal place for families and young people to camp, relax, and temporarily put aside the hustle and bustle of work and life.
Tourists should also be careful not to litter to preserve the surrounding landscape. If lighting a campfire or cooking, be careful to choose the right area to avoid burning the grass. Tourists should also check the weather forecast before the trip, avoiding rainy days to have the best experience.
In addition, if you have the opportunity to visit Binh Gia district, visitors can combine visiting some other famous tourist destinations such as Dang Mo waterfall, Tham Khuyen – Tham Hai cave, Phai Danh lake... or enjoy delicious local specialties such as sticky rice cake, gio cake, khao cake, mugwort cake, khau nhuc, roasted duck...
