Bustling Tet atmosphere on the first flights of the year
Vietnam Airlines simultaneously launched a series of activities to celebrate the New Year of the Dragon "above the clouds".

Many ao dai designs and colors are used by Vietnam Airlines flight attendants instead of uniforms when performing duties at the airport and on Tet flights.
The traditional Ao Dai has been introduced by Vietnam Airlines to friends around the world on millions of flights over the past 30 years. To make the New Year atmosphere more vibrant, many Ao Dai designs and colors are used by flight attendants, ground staff, and Vietnam Airlines Business Lounge staff instead of uniforms when performing duties at the airport and on Tet flights. Notably, on some flights, flight attendants perform Ao Dai with the themes "Sac Sen" and "Dang Hoa Nien Phu" with delicate motifs created by Ao Dai designer La Sen Vu.
In addition, dozens of dishes with Tet flavors have been served by Vietnam Airlines on all domestic flights during main meal times and international flights with hot meals. For Business Class, passengers can enjoy Tet meals on all routes without any departure time limit.

In addition, Vietnam Airlines has implemented additional activities during this period such as decorating the walls of the aircraft in the Business Class cabin, showing music videos celebrating Tet, providing paper rings for wrapping the Business Class cutlery set decorated according to the theme...
In particular, passengers on all flights between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of February 10, 2024 (the first day of Tet) will receive lucky money with discounted airfares applicable to all booking classes. On the first day of the Lunar New Year 2024 (the first day of Tet), representatives of the Board of Directors of Vietravel Airlines, Mr. Andrew J Pyn - Deputy General Director - and leaders of the airline's departments met passengers on the first flights at Tan Son Nhat Airport (HCMC) and Noi Bai Airport (Hanoi), the lucky money envelopes were handed to passengers as a thank you and wishes for all the best in this new year.
With the theme "Connecting Vietnamese Tet past and present", on these Tet flights, Vietravel Airlines flight attendants have simultaneously changed the airline's uniforms to the traditional Vietnamese five-panel ao dai and Nhat Binh.

The five-panel ao dai symbolizes the noble morality of human beings: the four panels of the front and back panels symbolize the "four parents", the inner panel symbolizes the child.
The five-panel shirt also has five buttons, symbolizing the five constants (benevolence - courtesy - righteousness - wisdom - trustworthiness) and the five relationships (king - subject, father - son, husband - wife, brothers - sisters, friends).
The Nhat Binh shirt has a five-color strip on the sleeve: green, yellow, blue, white, red symbolizing the five elements.

In addition, on February 10 (the first day of the Lunar New Year), Vietnam Airlines flights "kicked off" the Year of the Dragon in Da Nang and Khanh Hoa. With the coordination of the provinces and cities, the flights brought the message of a new year full of energy, joy and happiness to passengers, while affirming Vietnam Airlines' commitment and efforts to always accompany the tourism industry to bring wonderful experiences to visitors.
