TPO - On the evening of August 23, a prolonged heavy rain caused a series of trees on many streets in the capital to fall and be uprooted... causing traffic obstruction.

From around 8:30 p.m. on August 23, Hanoi began to have thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds, causing many trees in Hanoi to fall.

The tree was broken in half on Cau Giay street.

Local people said that after only about 20 minutes of heavy rain, the tree suddenly fell, fortunately causing no human damage.

On Ho Tung Mau Street (Cau Giay District), a tree fell and was uprooted, taking up 3/4 of the street.

A large tree stump was uprooted on the sidewalk.

Less than 50 meters away, a large tree also fell.

The fallen tree blocked the entrance to Tran Binh alley.

The neighborhood group and many residents helped cut down trees and clear the road for people.
