Thousands of runners eagerly prepare for the race on the most beautiful route in Hanoi

VPBank Hanoi International Marathon (VPIM) 2023 is an annual international sporting event, known as the race with the most beautiful route in Hanoi. The race will take place on October 8 with the starting point in the Hoan Kiem Lake area and the route passing through famous landmarks of the capital.

This afternoon (October 6), the organizing committee began to open the racekit distribution - an indispensable set of equipment for athletes participating in the race. One of the new highlights of VPIM this year is the racekit, which the organizing committee has carefully considered and taken care of from design to selection of items.

Thousands of runners from across the country heated up the atmosphere of the biggest international sporting event in Hanoi this weekend.

A total of 14 gifts in each racekit made runners excited and enthusiastic in the first event, welcoming thousands of athletes to the tournament. From the moment the racekit distribution booths opened at 12:00 today (October 6), long lines of athletes and teams created a vibrant atmosphere in the area around Hoan Kiem Lake.

VPIM 2023 has 4 distances: 42km, 21km, 10km and 5km.

VPIM 2023 carries the slogan Hanoi Vibes. Athletes enjoy the autumn colors on the route starting from Hoan Kiem Lake through mossy old streets, roads with the scent of milk flowers, "meeting" 30 famous landmarks of the Capital.

As usual, the race has 4 distances suitable for different groups of people: 42km, 21km, 10km, 5km all starting from Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, with the running route standardized according to international standards by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS). This means that athletes can use the results of VPIM 2023 to register for major races in the Six Majors system.
