Head of Central Propaganda Department attends opening ceremony in Tien Giang
On the morning of September 5, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department attended the opening ceremony of the new school year at Tru Van Tho Secondary School (Cai Lay town, Tien Giang province).
The quality of teaching and learning in Tien Giang's education sector has been gradually improved over the years. Specifically, the average score of the 2024 high school graduation exam in the province increased compared to 2023 (ranked 15th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide and ranked 2nd in the Mekong Delta region). Tien Giang has 32/38 schools with a 100% high school graduation rate. Tien Giang ranked first in the region in terms of the number of excellent high school students (with 46 awards), ranked first in the region and ranked 10th nationwide in the medal rankings at the 10th National Phu Dong Sports Festival in 2024.

Can Tho: "Innovation, quality improvement, solidarity and discipline"
On the morning of September 5, more than 249,402 students of all levels in Can Tho City entered the new school year 2024 - 2025. This year, the city has 448 schools with 13,769 staff, teachers and employees (including 11,908 teachers).
Mr. Tran Thanh Binh, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City, said: In preparation for the new school year 2024-2025, the Department of Education and Training of the City has consulted the People's Committee of Can Tho City, and coordinated with departments, branches, sectors and 9 districts to ensure conditions for the opening ceremony as well as serving the new school year. Specifically, ensuring conditions for facilities, teaching equipment and teaching staff.
Regarding facilities and schools, the sector coordinated with localities to repair schools, and this work has been completed so far. Regarding equipment and teaching aids, the Department coordinated with the People's Committees of districts and towns to ensure equipment packages of the 2018 General Education Program for all grades for timely implementation in the new school year; especially for the selection of textbooks and programs for grades 5, 9, and 12. At the same time, ensure that the teaching staff is sufficient in quantity and meets quality standards.
Bac Lieu: Short and meaningful opening ceremony
On the morning of September 5, in the exciting atmosphere of the whole country entering the new school year, more than 160,000 students of all levels in Bac Lieu entered the new school year. At Bac Lieu High School (Bac Lieu City), Mr. Lu Van Hung, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, along with leaders of the Bac Lieu City Party Committee and the Department of Education and Training attended the opening ceremony of the new school year at Bac Lieu High School in the welcome of teachers and students of the school.
Here, the school's Board of Directors read a letter from General Secretary and President To Lam to teachers, administrators, students, and parents on the occasion of the new school year opening day.
According to the school's Board of Directors, last school year, 99.94% of students were classified as having good and fair conduct; 83.64% of students had good and excellent academic performance; the high school graduation rate was 100%. More than 250,000 Ben Tre students enter new school year
On the morning of September 5, schools in Ben Tre province simultaneously held opening ceremonies for the new school year 2024-2025. This year, the whole province has more than 250,000 preschool, general education and continuing education students entering the new school year.
Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department Phan Xuan Thuy and Standing Deputy Secretary of Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee Tran Thanh Lam attended the opening ceremony of the new school year at Mo Cay Town Primary School 1 (Mo Cay Nam District).
According to the Department of Education and Training of Ben Tre province, in the 2024-2025 school year, the education and training sector of Ben Tre province will focus on implementing the school year theme "Discipline, responsibility, continuous innovation, improving the quality of education and training" launched by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Previously, on September 4, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man attended the opening ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year at Pham Hung High School (Long Ho district, Vinh Long province).
Mr. Lac Minh Son, Principal of Pham Hung High School, said: In the 2023-2024 school year, Pham Hung High School has excellently completed its school year tasks. The student retention rate reached 99.4%, students with above average academic performance accounted for 94.99%; of which, excellent students accounted for 23.58%, there were no students with poor academic performance. The result was that the high school graduation rate for 5 consecutive years was 100%.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man expressed his joy at attending the opening ceremony at Pham Hung High School, the school honorably named after Chairman of the Council of Ministers Pham Hung, an outstanding son of his hometown Long Ho, Vinh Long province.
